Barney made his first TV debut in 1988. Just in time for the arrival of my youngest sister Andrea. For years I was subjected to this dumb ass show. After about 8 years of his super happy cheerfulness she decided she had enough and moved on to her Zelda video games.
Fast forward to the present....
A few weeks ago,Tim told me that Cooper accidentally changed the channel on TV to PBS while Barney was on, and that he sat on the couch laughing and dancing for the WHOLE half hour show! I thought he may have been exaggerating and tried it myself. Sure enough he was elated to see the characters dancing around the screen. Whats worse, I was able to sing along, word for word, all of the songs! OMG!!!
Now, everyday at noon, you will find Cooper rocking to the beat!

I would choose Barney over the costumes anyday.
Don't be too upset, Barney is not that bad.
The rule in our house is you can't watch anything that makes Mommy cringe, and Barney is on that list...along with Doodle Bops, Dora, and Yo Gabba Gabba!
