On our first day there, we found a place called "Appalachian Caverns". It is a cave that you can tour 3 different ways.
1.You take the 1 mile Walking tour
2.You can take the 2 hour Explorer tour, where you get a little dirty from walking off the path, or...
3.You can take the 3.5 hour Wild tour, were you get completely filthy! You test your mental and physical endurance climbing over and under the rocks, in and out of the mud and so forth
Obviously, we wanted the Wild tour!! Unfortunately the next one was late at night so we opted for the walking tour. It was not a total loss because the guide let us do the practice crawl! We had to crawl under a 10 inch gap on our belly! It was unexpectedly hard to do, but now we know we can do it the next time we visit!
Tim was working during the following days so I, equipped with Mitch's GPS "Karen", hit the open road looking for fun! I found the East Tennessee State University Natural History Museum. There you can check out fossils from the Ice Age that were dug up right there at their excavation site! I also took the "Poop" tour! Very interesting!
I also spent some time in Jonesbrough. Very cute city! They host the "Story Teller" where story tellers from all over come to speak and tell their stories. I never got the opportunity to listen, but I will make sure to on our next visit.

Lastly,
Tim and I went to the Bristol Motor Speedway for the NASCAR Truck series race.We had a great get a way! Enjoy some photos of our adventures....
