We Are All Going Through The "Change"

Let me start by saying, this is not a gloating party.
I do realize that there are many Americans who are very disappointed today. As it has been since we had the right to vote, there will always be one who falls short.
Whether you are a Republican, Democrat, or like me an Independant, you will always think your man deserves the chair.
Even though Obama got my vote, I am concerned many voted for him to make a point. I am proud that my country has grown up and can look past physical differences for the good of themselves and country. I hope and pray that he was voted in by all who believe he can make a difference like I think he can. One the other hand, I'm sure there were many who voted for McCain to make a point as well.
On another note, I wish McCain could have made a speech during his campaign like the one he did last night. He spoke so eloquently. He may have gotten more votes.
How amazing to be alive to see history made. Congrats Obama, I believe in you!

Amazingly a great sum of Oboma's votes were not based upon his skills, or lack there of, the vote's were based upon something that it shouldn't of been. All I can say is that I am glad it is only for 4 years. I don't think that anyone will be prepared for "the upcomming change". So stock up on food, water and get your weapons. You know, just in case. Not quite sure what this "change" is.

From the mouth of someone who didn't vote for anyone.

Wow, I am really surprised you even voted but for him of all people. Just a few short weeks ago you told me you dont vote because you didnt know enough about it or even care about it. If the change you are looking for is total dependence on the government, higher taxes, no longer being able to bear arms, a reduction in the military, and your hard earned money being spread around to those that dont feel the need to work, you can count on Obama for that. But look on the bright side, Luke wont have to go to Iraq anymore, because he will be in Pakistan!

Man, that was kinda harsh.
I have been getting flack from EVERYBODY for not voting since Bushe's first term. I only voted for him b/c I was told to b/c we were self employed and needed a republican in office.
I thought since I don't work anymore and have more time to keep up with politics and am not surrounded by other influences, I could make my own decision. Although it was not the right one for everyone. I chose him and have not said a word to anyone about who they chose.

Well, as I was not trying to be harsh, just honest, you are right...everyone is free to choose for themselves, I am just in a foul mood right now as the future is looking quite grime for those of us that wanted better, not just change. I do apologize if you felt I was attacking you, we are on the same team and I do hope your man is up for the job! I am proud of you for FINALLY voting though, its about time!
