Binky Detox

Last night, Tim and decided that we would start the detoxification of Cooper's addiction to the bink.
I have noticed in the past few days, that he has kept it in his mouth ALL DAY!
Ya, that's not good.
I don't want him to be so dependant on it that I have a 3 year old with one hanging out of his mouth.
So at bed time last night, he was put to bed with out it. He looked at us funny when we gave him only his sippy of water and snuggie. When he realized that was all he was to get, he kinda freaked ( a little). It was hard on us to shake up his little world like that, but seriously, it would be much worse the longer we let him get attached. So instead of him going right to sleep, it took him 10 or 15 minutes to drift off. We shall see how his first day goes. I have had to do this to many other children before and out of sight out of mind has worked the best. Cold Turkey!
I need to have more faith in him. He has handled all changes way better than we thought he would.
I have collected the ones I could find and put them away. I hope he doesn't have any stashed anywhere!

Just dont give it back to him, no matter what..cause that is mean. Glad he is taking it so well though, that makes any transition much easier!
